"The Midweek Read": #TO2015

This past year culminated with countless advances for Foresight and the African development community. Along the way we experienced numerous instances of gratification and realizations of growth. But, nevertheless we at Foresight are sure that the best is yet to come!

To start off, Foresight came into existence this past June – specifically on June 16th. Since our founding we have been able to interact with countless individuals, and most importantly turn a niche topic into interesting and relative subject that intrigues all. The topic of African development is a hard one – we know that – but individuals, such as yourselves, have shown that understanding such a topic-matter is not one that should be left to just development professionals.

Furthermore, you have shown that this topic has relevance, that it impacts our lives and that we have a stake in the ongoing development of the African continent, and of emerging states around the world.

For this we thank you!

As we enter or second year of existence Foresight would like to expand on the progress that we have made. Our goal in the coming year is to become more interactive. To hear your voices, and truly become a forum where ordinary individuals can connect, collaborate, and begin to truly think with Foresight.

2015 will see the release of Foresight: A Development Journal in a purely digital forum. We will begin to connect African development thought leaders with our readers both in the United States and across Europe. We additionally will establish a trans-Atlantic creative community that will support our growing culture related base. And finally, we will begin the arduous push toward PUBLICATION!

These efforts will be assured by your ending support, which you have shown brilliantly to date.

With that being said here is to 2015, a year sure to be filled with action, significance, and Foresight!

Sincerely,
