Today, Open Society Foundations released this video concerning the Ebola crisis, and its devastating impact on the West African region. Over the last month, it has become clear that the international community can not stand without action and idle watch the decay of civil society in West Africa.
Action must be taken, though we have seen formative steps taken to ensure that an international presence will indeed assist infighting this pandemic - The Gates Foundation's donation of $50 Million and President Obama's recent address at the CDC concerning the Ebola Outbreak - real, true, and steady action , on the part of the larger international commonality has failed to materialize.
Action must be today, the potential collapse of civil society, and the persistent development efforts, in the the region are dependent on formative assistance. It's urgent.
